Caretaker Government Has Reduced Petroleum Product Prices in Pakistan
The caretaker federal government, delivering relief to the inflation-hit Pakistanis, reduced the petrol price in Pakistan by Rs 14 per liter today. In this regard, the Finance Division issued an official notification with the consent of the Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), and both recommended a decrease in petroleum products for the end of this month.
According to the finance division’s recent statement, petrol prices worldwide have dropped to Rs 267.34 PL, and diesel prices have decreased by Rs 13.50 per liter to Rs 276.21.
The finance division also said that Kerosene oil’s price had been cut from Rs 10.14 per liter to Rs 191.02, and light diesel oil would be available at Rs 164.64 per liter after a decline of Rs 11.29.
Fuel prices were expected to decrease in the upcoming fortnightly review following a significant drop in global oil prices over the last two weeks.
The federal government checks the prices of petroleum products every fortnight and revises them according to international market directions and the rupee exchange rate.
